Sarah grew up on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, near the small town of Kent Island. Sarah graduated from Towson University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Anthropology, focusing in Criminal Justice. After graduating, she decided to leave her beloved Maryland for Northern Virginia and began working at the Common Application. During her time at the Common Application, she has supported applicants, recommenders and member institutions. Sarah is happy to serve on the Common Application’s Community Outreach Committee, for which she helps to spread the organization’s mission throughout the community.
Sarah is a proud member of the non-profit organization, Students Helping Honduras, which works with Hondurans to alleviate extreme poverty and violence through education and youth empowerment. In her work with Students Helping Honduras, she found her true passion for promoting access to education for students of all backgrounds.
Outside of work, Sarah enjoys spending time with her nieces, visiting as many new cities, countries, and local lunch spots as possible, and watching Grey’s Anatomy (again).
